NOVARE® hosted the Standard and Poor's Fund Awards in 2006 and 2007 presented to the South African fund management industry in association with Financial Mail.

The S&P's Fund Awards are acknowledged as the benchmark of excellence in fund management performance. Designed to recognise outstanding achievement among a number of categories, the respected S&P's awards have become a sought after by fund management professionals.

The S&P Awards  programs are designed to recognise funds and fund houses that have consistently outperformed their peers. Although the awards apply common principles and methodologies across all markets, the fund universes themselves are market specific. In the case of South Africa, funds and asset mangers are assessed over three date periods - one year, three years and five years, on a relative risk-adjusted basis.
